Moda ed Emozioni
'...e' l'ormai classico workshop di Amedeo: un opportunita' unica di lavorare vicini al mondo della moda a contatto con un team di professionisti, modelle, stylists, hair stylists e make up artists... con stile, eleganza e un pizzico di trasgressione...!'
Il corso si prefigge di immaginare ed illustrare le situazioni in cui vengono progettate e realizzate le produzioni editoriali per un generico supporto moda.
Gli studenti durante il primo incontro saranno virtualmente
confrontati alle esigenze di una rivista, le problematiche relative alla definizione di uno story-board, la scelta dei modelli, dello styling, delle locations, etc... attraverso esempi concreti affrontati in passato dal fotografo e illustrando la dialettica tra esigenze di committenza e di creativita' personale.
Nella seconda fase, in dallo styling piu' forte ed estremo.
Si lavorera' con modelli e modelle in maniera veloce, cercando di produrre immagini forti che provochino per ciascun studente nuovi stimoli e desideri.
Sara' una ricerca estrema, personale ed intima fra il soggetto e gli studenti provocata da Amedeo e dal suo fantastico team in modo da individuare in ciascun partecipante il modo piu' personale per raccontare in immagini la propria visione.
Durante tutto il corso ci sara' sempre, durante le pause pranzo e a fine giornata, una costante discussione in modo da verificare costantemente obbiettivi e aspettative.
Quotidianamente ci saranno proiezioni video di making-of e consultazione di libri e riviste... e' auspicabile il lavoro con fotocamere digitali e che ciascun studente abbia il proprio computer al seguito.
Fashion and Emotions
'... it's the 'classic' workshop of Amedeo: a unique opportunity to work closely to the fashion business, together with a team of professionals, models, stylists, hair stylists and make up artists... with style, elegance and a pinch of transgression...!'
The aim of the course is to let your imagination illustrate situations in which a story for a generic fashion magazine is planned and produced.
During the first phase the students will be explained the demands of a magazine, from the difficulties of defining a storyboard, to choosing the models, styling and locations, etc... all via concrete examples faced in the past by the photographer, illustrating the logic and reasoning between commission demands and personal creativeness.
During the second phase, once different work groups have been created, some recurrent themes will be faced: the romantic editorial and the more transgressive and trendy.
Students will work with male and female models in a rapid manner in order to produce strong images that provoke in every student new horizons and motivations. The workshop is an extreme, personal and intimate search between the subject and the students and is supervised by Amedeo and his team allowing each student to express their own personal vision through their images.
Question and answer sessions will be held every lunchtime and at the end of the day allowing for a constant discussion which permits to verify objectives and expectations.
Daily making-of videos will be projected and books and magazines will be consulted... Students will work with digital cameras and it would be advantageous that every student has their own computer with them.
Chi e' Amedeo M.Turello
Laureato in Architettura al Politecnico di Torino ha ottenuto un Master in 'Fine Arts'presso l'Art Center College of Design di Pasadena, in California.
Passando dal design industriale alla grafica, ha un'esperienza professionale molto eclettica, consulente per progetti editoriali e artistici ha fondato nel 1998 il magazine 'Style Monte-Carlo', con lo scopo di promuovere '...style ed eleganza con un pizzico di trasgressione', distribuito dal gruppo Conde' Nast.
La sua conseguente attivita' di fotografo e' nata dall'esigenza
di esprimere in sintesi il suo forte interesse verso le arti visive.
Oggi ha concentrato l'impegno fotografico e maggior parte della propria attivita' al ritratto di celebrity e soprattutto alla foto di moda, lavorando principalmente fra la Costa Azzurra e gli Stati Uniti, ha ritratto un impressionante numero di personaggi famosi, non solo dell'ambito moda ma anche della cultura e dello spettacolo.
Le sue recenti campagne sono apparse su Vanity Fair, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Times Magazine, The Newyorker, You, Elle, Marie-Claire, W, Glamour, GQ...
Collezionista di fotografie, vintage et contemporanee, ha coltivato rapporti professionali e di amicizia con i piu' grandi talenti della fotografia contemporanea.
Autore del libro fotografico '10 Years Celebrating Women' un raffinatissimo universo femminile che ha ispirato la sua attivita' fotografica, fatto non solo di immagini ma di testi, appunti di viaggio e ricordi delle donne piu' belle del mondo. Ha appena presentato il suo nuovo libro 'Deep' uno spettacolare viaggio nel mondo dell'oceanografia, ambientato nel Museo Oceanografico di Monte-Carlo e in locations esterne con alcune top model internazionali...
Who is Amedeo M.Turello
Graduated in Architecture by the Politecnico di Torino, he further obtained a Masters in Fine Arts from the Art Centre College of
Design of Pasadena, in California.
With his eclectic career - from industrial design to graphics, - in 1998 he founded the high quality fashion magazine 'Style Monte-Carlo' (distributed by the Conde' Nast group) with the aim to promote '… style and elegance with a pinch of transgression'.
Becoming a professional photographer he has for over a decade continuously expressed a respect toward the visual arts.
From celebrity portraiture to high fashion, today it is photography that he centres his career around, working mainly between the South of France and the United States. He has portrayed an impressive number of personalities, including those from the worlds of culture and couture and his recent campaigns have appeared in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Times Magazine, The New Yorker, You, Elle, Marie-Claire, W, Glamour, GQ...
Amedeo is also an extensive photoworks collector and has cultivated professional relationships and friendships with the world's most influential personalities of the industry. Author of '10 Years Celebrating Women', a stunning collection of images embodying the female universe featuring texts, quotes and travel notes from some of the worlds most beautiful women.
He is currently finishing a new book called 'Deep' - a spectacular journey into Oceanography, produced in conjunction with the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, shot on location with international top models...
